At this level, we will continue to focus on fundamental skill development. This is a 5 v 5 league and there are separate boys and girls intramural leagues at this level. Games and practices are held at the WHEC. Typically, there is one practice and one skills clinic during the week and one game on the weekend (typically Saturday). Participants play full court with the hoops set at the standard 10 feet. Defense is left to the discretion of the coaches according to the developmental skill level of the players, but pressing and zone defenses are not allowed. All players get equal playing time. Teams at this level are organized with the assistance of the elementary physical education teachers.
